This venue was absolutely perfect! The owners were always available and extremely friendly. The site was setup perfectly and the entire day went off without any issues. I would absolutely recommend this gorgeous plantation to anyone planning their wedding!
My bride and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here on a Sunday in October. It was beautiful and I am so glad the weather permitted for a nice outside wedding. If it had rain, they do provide an area to have the ceremony as well. The inside of the house is really nice and rustic looking as well. We didn't stay overnight, but I imagine it would have been nice too. The home owners were AWESOME! They replied back with information promptly and during the wedding day and anytime we came to visit or set up, they stayed back and provided any assistance we may have needed. The reception area was just as wonderful as the ceremony area. There was a tent in the back that fit well over the 100 guests we had. The price was well under the budget we were looking at. The venue provides a list of caterers you may use, but you are welcome to use whom ever as long as you let them know. When the venue gets dark, their are gorgeous lights set up all around the venue with terrific places to take pictures before and after dark. At the end of the reception, we were allowed to use sparklers for the guest to light our way out which was beautiful as well. I could not have had a better experience here and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking around the area for an outside wedding.
Don and Eileen were amazing to work with and Jasmine Plantation is the perfect wedding venue! The owners were always quick to respond to any questions we had and even helped us get a hold of another vendor on our wedding day that we were having some slight issues with. They really do mean it when the plantation is yours for the weekend, they set up whatever you need and you may see them for a few minutes during that time but other than that they keep to themselves and just let us enjoy our time there. I also love the fact that their son also took some pictures, they turned out great and we got to see pictures before we got ours back from our photographer! Our families/friends loved their stay during our wedding weekend and we highly recommend Jasmine Plantation!!
The Historic Jasmine Plantation was really the place we always dreamed of holding our wedding at! It is absolutely beautiful and we got many compliments from our guests after the wedding about how beautiful it was. They are very easy to work with and offer a lot of different packages ranging in price, so there is something for everyone. We are so happy we chose the Historic Jasmine Plantation for our wedding venue and loved holding our special day there!
My husband and I absolutely loved this venue! The plantation owners were so kind, flexible, and dedicated to making our wedding everything we desired. The rooms, house, and plantation were beautiful. We had not one complaint! Visit them on facebook to view their gallery!
Don and Eileen, the innkeepers, were wonderful to work with for the entire year leading up to the "Fall in Love" theme wedding on 10/23/10. The weather was perfect, the venue for the whole weekend was perfect as was the yummy breakfast on Sunday morning for the wedding party. The innkeepers were behind the scene workers, but were always available for whatever help was needed. There have been so many positive comments received by mail, phone, Facebook and email. Everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon and evening. Most of the compliments were about the joy and love in the air felt by all that attended--for Ashley and Greg in the most festive and beautiful setting. Some have even said that this was the most fun wedding ever, bar none!
The venue is beautiful and everyone loved it. The flowers were just blooming, and the weather was perfect. People had ample places to take beautiful pictures, and eat, and dance, and sit. And the Smiths are he nicest people ever, and put out a delicious breakfast Sunday morning. It was really nice being able to set everything up on Friday, stay the night Friday and Saturday, and leave Sunday morning after a lovely rest.
One word: BEAUTIFUL. This location is gorgeous, every attendant loved the look of the plantation. Terrific backdrop for pictures in daytime AND nighttime! If I couldn't get a hold of the wedding coordinator then Don the owner would respond promptly. We rented out the entire plantation for the weekend so our wedding party and parents were all together that weekend. The rooms were lovely and many were a good size! The bridal suite is huge which was perfect when all the girls were getting ready (bad lighting for make up though). We felt like we owned the place because we barely saw the owners. Which we liked that it didn't feel like a hotel. It is pricey to rent the plantation; however, any wedding venue it pricey and we were willing to pay the price for this location and to stay for the weekend. Additionally you're on you own the day of, so don't expect the wedding coordinator to assist, unless you pay extra. With that being stated, the prices are all upfront I even had a printed out table of the prices broken down so we knew exactly what we were paying for taxes, the rooms, and the location. Another thing to take into consideration.... there is not much around for rehearsal dinner food. We ordered fried chicken from Foodlion and brought in sides because other than food lion or subway you had to travel at least 30 minutes to get to another place to cater. We have a low maintenance crowd so it worked for us! I would recommend this place, it is truly beautiful and the owners make you feel at home and are amicable to work with, just consider the price as it will likely be a large portion of any budget.
I highly recommend the Historic Jasmine Plantation. It's an all-in-one place for the ceremony, reception and overnight stay- including a rain plan! The property is beautifully maintained and they are always making improvements. If you don't want to have to do a lot of decoration, this place is perfect, because it's so beautifully done. I can't say enough great things about it. Book here, and you'll be a happy bride!
Historic Jasmine Plantation was a wonderful venue for my daughter's wedding on 4-16-16. The grounds are well taken care of and provided a great backdrop for photos, etc. We attended many of their open houses after writing our contract; Eileen (owner) and Melissa were always so helpful. We had the Bed & Breakfast for the entire wedding weekend. That made setup and take down was so much easier because your time wasn't as limited. Don (owner) was always accessible if we needed anything like extra tables. My family greatly enjoyed their stay. We even introduced them to a food vendor that had not worked their venue before, Alpha Pitt Smokers. God provided perfect weather, and Historic Jasmine Plantation gave us the chance to use their beautiful grounds to make the day one to remember!! Thank you all so much!!
