My daughter's wedding was held at Jasmine Plantation on 5/24/14. This was the most beautiful place to have a wedding and reception. Don & Eileen Smith, Ashton Smith and Kayla Arnold were the nicest and most accommodating folks I've ever worked with. The Plantation House was amazing! It was so inviting. Also, very clean. The grounds are spectacular! Beautiful gardens, statues and lighting are every where you turn. The reception was held in the big tent behind the house. It couldn't have been more perfect. You can tell that the owners love the Plantation by what they do to keep it such a showcase. If anyone is looking for a venue for their wedding, please contact the great folks at Jasmine. You won't be sorry!
Historic Jasmine Plantation was a wonderful venue for my daughter's wedding on 4-16-16. The grounds are well taken care of and provided a great backdrop for photos, etc. We attended many of their open houses after writing our contract; Eileen (owner) and Melissa were always so helpful. We had the Bed & Breakfast for the entire wedding weekend. That made setup and take down was so much easier because your time wasn't as limited. Don (owner) was always accessible if we needed anything like extra tables. My family greatly enjoyed their stay. We even introduced them to a food vendor that had not worked their venue before, Alpha Pitt Smokers. God provided perfect weather, and Historic Jasmine Plantation gave us the chance to use their beautiful grounds to make the day one to remember!! Thank you all so much!!
We could not have found a more wonderful venue for an outdoor fall wedding than Jasmine. In addition to the perfect sites for the rehearsal, ceremony, pictures, reception, and rehearsal dinner, the house and 7 suites (which we used for the weekend) made it a wonderful location for bringing family together. Don and Eileen are wonderful and attentive hosts, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make this wedding perfect!
The venue is beautiful and everyone loved it. The flowers were just blooming, and the weather was perfect. People had ample places to take beautiful pictures, and eat, and dance, and sit. And the Smiths are he nicest people ever, and put out a delicious breakfast Sunday morning. It was really nice being able to set everything up on Friday, stay the night Friday and Saturday, and leave Sunday morning after a lovely rest.
The Historic Jasmine Plantation was really the place we always dreamed of holding our wedding at! It is absolutely beautiful and we got many compliments from our guests after the wedding about how beautiful it was. They are very easy to work with and offer a lot of different packages ranging in price, so there is something for everyone. We are so happy we chose the Historic Jasmine Plantation for our wedding venue and loved holding our special day there!
This venue was absolutely perfect! The owners were always available and extremely friendly. The site was setup perfectly and the entire day went off without any issues. I would absolutely recommend this gorgeous plantation to anyone planning their wedding!
Everything about the Jasmine Plantation was what I had hoped it would be! The owners, Don and Eileen are great! they are so easy to work with, easy to get in touch with, had everything set up for us, cleaned up after us, etc. everything went smoothly, the placed looked beautiful, and everyone was complimenting the location. Staying at the plantation felt like I was at home. They make you feel so comfortable there. All the guests loved it! I couldn't be happier and I would strongly recommended the plantation to anyone planning a wedding!!
My bride and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here on a Sunday in October. It was beautiful and I am so glad the weather permitted for a nice outside wedding. If it had rain, they do provide an area to have the ceremony as well. The inside of the house is really nice and rustic looking as well. We didn't stay overnight, but I imagine it would have been nice too. The home owners were AWESOME! They replied back with information promptly and during the wedding day and anytime we came to visit or set up, they stayed back and provided any assistance we may have needed. The reception area was just as wonderful as the ceremony area. There was a tent in the back that fit well over the 100 guests we had. The price was well under the budget we were looking at. The venue provides a list of caterers you may use, but you are welcome to use whom ever as long as you let them know. When the venue gets dark, their are gorgeous lights set up all around the venue with terrific places to take pictures before and after dark. At the end of the reception, we were allowed to use sparklers for the guest to light our way out which was beautiful as well. I could not have had a better experience here and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking around the area for an outside wedding.
We were looking for a beautiful outdoor venue to have our wedding and after searching in the Northern Virginia area where we lived, we were unsatisfied with the options available given our budget and wants. We expanded our search farther south, which included the Jasmine Plantation and couldn't be happier with our choice. We were walked through the plantation, which includes a permanent covered tent, covered outdoor patio area, gazebos, and a recently added bell tower, among the many beautiful landscape. We loved that Jasmine had no restrictions on vendors AND provided us with a list of preferred vendors to get us started. Anytime I contacted Jasmine, my emails were responded to promptly. A couple of weeks before the wedding, our caterer contacted us requesting to do a site visit with our venue. I hadn't been aware of this and had to contact Jasmine requesting to come visit on very short notice. They said we could come the next day and Don was there greet us and help walk myself and the caterer through any questions we had.
The owners kept out of sight as we did our rehearsal, but we were able to easily call Don's cell phone from the number left in the kitchen of the inn when we needed to that evening. We were also able to use the Magnolia Room for our rehearsal dinner, as well as teapots and tea from the inn that were left out for us. A refrigerator for guests was also available for us, which helped us store a cake for one of the party member's birthday, as well as leftovers from the event. A lovely breakfast spread was laid out for all the parties that had spent the night both Saturday and Sunday and I ran into Don and Eileen walking the grounds setting up for our big day. All the chairs for the ceremony were set up and the tables and chairs for the reception were in place under the covered tent according to the table layout we had picked. Everything was great, thanks so much for everything!
Don and Eileen, the innkeepers, were wonderful to work with for the entire year leading up to the "Fall in Love" theme wedding on 10/23/10. The weather was perfect, the venue for the whole weekend was perfect as was the yummy breakfast on Sunday morning for the wedding party. The innkeepers were behind the scene workers, but were always available for whatever help was needed. There have been so many positive comments received by mail, phone, Facebook and email. Everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon and evening. Most of the compliments were about the joy and love in the air felt by all that attended--for Ashley and Greg in the most festive and beautiful setting. Some have even said that this was the most fun wedding ever, bar none!
