Historic Jasmine Plantation provided the perfect, intimate setting for our small outdoor wedding (50 people). Wanting to take advantage of Jasmine's beautiful grounds and have an outdoor wedding, we showed up the day of to a rainy and gray day. The generous owners provided us the use of their large backyard tent for no extra charge and we were just thrilled. We were able to quickly set up for our wedding and relax, and everything was more lovely than I had even imagined.
This Plantation was absolutely gorgeous. The gardens, statues, and bridge over the pond made for the most beautiful Wedding Ceremony I could have every imagined. The reception tent was also just as wonderful. It already had strung lights and a chandelier that was hung so elegantly, we couldn't wait to dance the night away. The owners were very inviting and helpful in making our day as special as it could be. I definitely recommend this venue to any and all! Affordable, lovely, and already set up for you!
This venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding! My husband and I wanted a venue that was low key and down to earth and fit in our budget and the Jasmine Plantation met all our needs. The owners are fantastic and Kayla the Event Planner was fantastic! The hospitality wereceived was great. We especially liked the plantation because they have a secondary location onsite in case of bad weather for our ceremony. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
We were looking for a beautiful outdoor venue to have our wedding and after searching in the Northern Virginia area where we lived, we were unsatisfied with the options available given our budget and wants. We expanded our search farther south, which included the Jasmine Plantation and couldn't be happier with our choice. We were walked through the plantation, which includes a permanent covered tent, covered outdoor patio area, gazebos, and a recently added bell tower, among the many beautiful landscape. We loved that Jasmine had no restrictions on vendors AND provided us with a list of preferred vendors to get us started. Anytime I contacted Jasmine, my emails were responded to promptly. A couple of weeks before the wedding, our caterer contacted us requesting to do a site visit with our venue. I hadn't been aware of this and had to contact Jasmine requesting to come visit on very short notice. They said we could come the next day and Don was there greet us and help walk myself and the caterer through any questions we had.
The owners kept out of sight as we did our rehearsal, but we were able to easily call Don's cell phone from the number left in the kitchen of the inn when we needed to that evening. We were also able to use the Magnolia Room for our rehearsal dinner, as well as teapots and tea from the inn that were left out for us. A refrigerator for guests was also available for us, which helped us store a cake for one of the party member's birthday, as well as leftovers from the event. A lovely breakfast spread was laid out for all the parties that had spent the night both Saturday and Sunday and I ran into Don and Eileen walking the grounds setting up for our big day. All the chairs for the ceremony were set up and the tables and chairs for the reception were in place under the covered tent according to the table layout we had picked. Everything was great, thanks so much for everything!
Historic Jasmine Plantation was a wonderful venue for my daughter's wedding on 4-16-16. The grounds are well taken care of and provided a great backdrop for photos, etc. We attended many of their open houses after writing our contract; Eileen (owner) and Melissa were always so helpful. We had the Bed & Breakfast for the entire wedding weekend. That made setup and take down was so much easier because your time wasn't as limited. Don (owner) was always accessible if we needed anything like extra tables. My family greatly enjoyed their stay. We even introduced them to a food vendor that had not worked their venue before, Alpha Pitt Smokers. God provided perfect weather, and Historic Jasmine Plantation gave us the chance to use their beautiful grounds to make the day one to remember!! Thank you all so much!!
I was recently married at the Historic Jasmine Plantation 8-16-14, from the 1st moment we saw this beautiful venue last year we knew this was the place. We instantly fell in love with this place, and it met all our needs. Its a great place if you want to have your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all in one area. They also Have package that include there 7 beautiful rooms, which come in handy when you have a big bridal party. Don and Kayla are very friendly and will help you out anyway possible. All my questions was answered within 24hours... Also The Jasmine Plantation allows for outside catering which is great!!! If your looking to have beautiful outdoors wedding, and not be worried about anything going wrong then def book with the Jasmine plantation. Don and Kayla will take great care of you, and will looovvveeee how your special day turn out.
One word: BEAUTIFUL. This location is gorgeous, every attendant loved the look of the plantation. Terrific backdrop for pictures in daytime AND nighttime! If I couldn't get a hold of the wedding coordinator then Don the owner would respond promptly. We rented out the entire plantation for the weekend so our wedding party and parents were all together that weekend. The rooms were lovely and many were a good size! The bridal suite is huge which was perfect when all the girls were getting ready (bad lighting for make up though). We felt like we owned the place because we barely saw the owners. Which we liked that it didn't feel like a hotel. It is pricey to rent the plantation; however, any wedding venue it pricey and we were willing to pay the price for this location and to stay for the weekend. Additionally you're on you own the day of, so don't expect the wedding coordinator to assist, unless you pay extra. With that being stated, the prices are all upfront I even had a printed out table of the prices broken down so we knew exactly what we were paying for taxes, the rooms, and the location. Another thing to take into consideration.... there is not much around for rehearsal dinner food. We ordered fried chicken from Foodlion and brought in sides because other than food lion or subway you had to travel at least 30 minutes to get to another place to cater. We have a low maintenance crowd so it worked for us! I would recommend this place, it is truly beautiful and the owners make you feel at home and are amicable to work with, just consider the price as it will likely be a large portion of any budget.
We could not have found a more wonderful venue for an outdoor fall wedding than Jasmine. In addition to the perfect sites for the rehearsal, ceremony, pictures, reception, and rehearsal dinner, the house and 7 suites (which we used for the weekend) made it a wonderful location for bringing family together. Don and Eileen are wonderful and attentive hosts, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make this wedding perfect!
Everything about the Jasmine Plantation was what I had hoped it would be! The owners, Don and Eileen are great! they are so easy to work with, easy to get in touch with, had everything set up for us, cleaned up after us, etc. everything went smoothly, the placed looked beautiful, and everyone was complimenting the location. Staying at the plantation felt like I was at home. They make you feel so comfortable there. All the guests loved it! I couldn't be happier and I would strongly recommended the plantation to anyone planning a wedding!!
Used for the entire weekend. Don the owner was so flexible. We felt like family. We also enjoyed having bride/groom family together.
