This is such a charming, vintage place - green, beautiful, every corner calls for a picture! At the same time it is very isolated. I was surprised to find such a jewel so close to Richmond. You, your family and guests will be able to have fun without any destruction from outside world. It was raining when I had a shoot there, but the stuff provided a big tent for the celebration, and everybody could enjoy the party. I highly recommend it.
Wow you have to check out Historic Jasmine Plantation. The home and grounds are some of the most well kept in the Greater Richmond Area and they are set in such a Historic area.. You can not beat the value of a trip to New Kent County for your wedding or next event.. .. If you are looking for an awesome venue you definitely need to put the Jasmine on your check list ..
The venue is beautiful and everyone loved it. The flowers were just blooming, and the weather was perfect. People had ample places to take beautiful pictures, and eat, and dance, and sit. And the Smiths are he nicest people ever, and put out a delicious breakfast Sunday morning. It was really nice being able to set everything up on Friday, stay the night Friday and Saturday, and leave Sunday morning after a lovely rest.
The Jasmine Plantation was wonderful. Don and Eileen are so warm and really give you the whole plantation for the weekend to make your wedding and/or reception a reality.
Jasmine was the perfect place for an outdoor fall wedding. It has multiple sites for the ceremony, reception, pictures, and rehearsal dinner. With the bridal party staying there for the wedding, it was perfect for getting ready the day of the wedding. Don and Eileen arewonderful hosts. For the whole weekend, we were able to focus on family and friends. After looking at multiple places in the NoVa area, it was far and away the most affordable and friendly. Thanks, Don and Eileen, for making my daughter's wedding weekend perfect!
I couldn't believe my luck when I found this venue! I located their website the night before I signed with someone else, and couldn't have found a more perfect location for our wedding! It had the feel we wanted, and was flexible with special requests we had for our event. We were able to have the privacy of the whole plantation for our family and guests from the day before the wedding (Friday) until check out on Sunday. The homemade breakfast on the wedding day was amazing! The egg scramble was delicious! Don and his wife were friendly, professional, and accomodating - you can't find better hosts, especially at the more than reasonable price they offer for their services! Thank you, Don and Eileen, for your hospitality and opening up your beautiful property to us for our special day!
Don and Eileen with the Jasmine Plantation were wonderful to work with. They take great care of the wedding venue and really make you feel like you are living in your own home while you are staying in the Inn. Their hard work made my wedding day go off without a hitch, even though the outdoor ceremony was rained out! I would definitely recommend their location for a wedding venue to future brides.
Don and Eileen at Jasmine are absolutely amazing. They're the nicest, most accommodating people that I know and hands down beat all the other people I dealt with at other venues. This place really gives you the most bang for your buck. It was absolutely worth every penny. All my guests raved about how beautiful the place was. It really was everything I dreamed of and more! Boom now! It fills up quickly!
Used for the entire weekend. Don the owner was so flexible. We felt like family. We also enjoyed having bride/groom family together.
One word: BEAUTIFUL. This location is gorgeous, every attendant loved the look of the plantation. Terrific backdrop for pictures in daytime AND nighttime! If I couldn't get a hold of the wedding coordinator then Don the owner would respond promptly. We rented out the entire plantation for the weekend so our wedding party and parents were all together that weekend. The rooms were lovely and many were a good size! The bridal suite is huge which was perfect when all the girls were getting ready (bad lighting for make up though). We felt like we owned the place because we barely saw the owners. Which we liked that it didn't feel like a hotel. It is pricey to rent the plantation; however, any wedding venue it pricey and we were willing to pay the price for this location and to stay for the weekend. Additionally you're on you own the day of, so don't expect the wedding coordinator to assist, unless you pay extra. With that being stated, the prices are all upfront I even had a printed out table of the prices broken down so we knew exactly what we were paying for taxes, the rooms, and the location. Another thing to take into consideration.... there is not much around for rehearsal dinner food. We ordered fried chicken from Foodlion and brought in sides because other than food lion or subway you had to travel at least 30 minutes to get to another place to cater. We have a low maintenance crowd so it worked for us! I would recommend this place, it is truly beautiful and the owners make you feel at home and are amicable to work with, just consider the price as it will likely be a large portion of any budget.
